Emily Hubbard
Adjunct Professor of Law
Emily Hubbard is an Adjunct Professor of Law and an Assistant Director with the US Department of Justice in DC. She advises on a myriad of personnel matters including suitability, background investigations, adverse actions, and whistleblower claims. Emily has over ten years of broad litigation and advisory experience, specializing in labor and employment and national security matters. Prior to joining DOJ, she served as Counsel to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Environmental Protection Agency, litigating employment, national security, and FOIA cases. Emily worked as Special Counsel to the Boston Public Schools where, in addition to traditional labor and employment litigation and advisory work, she litigated special education cases and adjudicated student discipline appeals.
Emily is a graduate of Boston College Law School and Bowdoin College. She studied in France during undergraduate and law school at Sciences Po of Toulouse and University of Strasbourg, respectively. She is fluent in French. While at Boston College Law School, she was a member of the National European Law Moot Court team and Vice President of the Black Law Students Association.
